Fenomenet: Vad är Mega Evolution?

Introducerad i Pokémon X och Y (Generation VI), är Mega Evolution en tillfällig transformation som vissa Pokémon kan genomgå under strider. Till skillnad från vanlig evolution, som är permanent, varar Mega Evolution endast under stridens gång.

• Kraven: För att utlösa en Mega Evolution behöver en Tränare en Nyckelsten (ofta buren i ett armband som kallas Mega Ring), och Pokémon måste hålla sin specifika Mega Sten (t.ex. Lucarionite för Lucario).
• Banden: Utöver de fysiska föremålen, dikterar lore att ett djupt emotionellt band mellan Tränaren och Pokémon krävs för att uppnå detta tillstånd.
