About the Palworld Official Card Game

Developed by Bushiroad in collaboration with Pocketpair, the Palworld Official Card Game brings the massively popular open-world survival video game to the tabletop. Players collect their favorite Pals—like Pengullet, Lamball, and Grizzbolt—and assign them to work at their base or battle opponent Pals. Featuring original, exclusively commissioned artwork, this competitive trading card game is designed for both hardcore TCG players and fans of the Palworld franchise.

Card Game FAQ

How do you play the Palworld TCG?

The game is a 2-player competitive TCG where players build a 50-card deck utilizing up to two of the five available colors (Red, Blue, Green, Purple) plus Colorless cards. Players balance their resources by sending Pals to the combat zone to attack, or assigning them to the base to utilize their "Work Suitability" traits to gather resources and activate Structure cards.

Can I mix cards from different Palworld TCG sets?

Yes! Cards from all Palworld Official Card Game sets, including Dawn of Palpagos, Legends Awaken, and Trial Decks, are fully compatible. You can combine them as long as your 50-card deck follows the two-color construction rule.

How does the "Lucky Pal" mechanic work in battle?

The Lucky Pal mechanic acts as a defensive catch-up system. When your opponent deals damage to you, you reveal the top card of your deck. If you reveal a "Lucky Pal" card, the damage is completely nullified (blocked) and the card is sent to the graveyard. If it is a normal card, you take the damage and the card is discarded.

How does the "Soul" system work for playing cards?

To avoid "mana screw" (drawing too much or too little energy), the Palworld TCG uses a separate Soul Deck. You draw from this dedicated deck to pay the cost to play your Pals, Gear, and Events, utilizing a Stand/Rest system similar to other major tabletop card games.

Can any Pal use any Structure card at the base?

No. Staying true to the video game's survival mechanics, Pals must have the correct Work Suitability trait to be assigned to specific structures. For example, you can only assign a Pal with the "Kindling" trait to operate a Furnace structure card.

Collector FAQ

Does the Palworld Card Game feature original art?

Yes. Unlike many video game adaptations that use 3D game renders, every card in the Palworld TCG features gorgeous, 2D illustrated artwork exclusively commissioned by Bushiroad for the physical card game.

What are the card rarities in the Palworld Official Card Game?

The base set features four standard rarities: Common (C), Uncommon (U), Rare (R), and Double Rare (RR). For collectors, booster boxes also contain highly coveted foil Parallel variants, including ultra-rare SSP (Super Special Rare) cards featuring alternate, exclusively commissioned artwork.

Is the Palworld TCG available in English?

Yes, Bushiroad designed the Palworld Official Card Game for a global audience. The Dawn of Palpagos booster boxes and Trial Decks are launching simultaneously in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese on July 30, 2026.
